The records pertain mainly to Lyle's undertaking business. Seven volumes of funeral records span the entire history of the business. These volumes present a chronological listing of funerals performed, including the individual's name, birth and death dates, family data, cause of death and medical information, and notes dealing with the preparation of the body and grave site. Also included are account receipts, and a folder of miscellaneous items such as correspondence and death and burial certificates. For the furniture business two account books contain financial records, lists of orders placed, and sales receipts.
