: Hearings and legal actions against insurance agents and companies by the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance. Hearing files contain transcripts and may also include general orders; facts, laws and demands for forfeiture; internal and external correspondence; cease and desist orders; stipulations and orders; and interrogatories. Files may include: witness examination, depositions and deposition transcripts, interview and investigation report forms, orders for judgment; legal briefs, petitions, decisions, summons, motions, various notices for court appearances, subpoenas, affidavits, injunction requests, summons to court, stipulations and orders, exhibits, criminal complaints, consent decree, and judgments. Also included may be supporting and background evidence, newspaper clippings, documents from other states' investigations, and license related material. Of note are files relating to the Martell Mutual Town Insurance Company’s bankruptcy and the records of Massachusetts Indemnity and Life Insurance Company (MILICO).
