Scope and Content Note: Circuit Court cases closed, July 1997 - March 1998. Among the most important are two cases involving employees of the Department of Corrections (DOC), one of which concerned unprofessional conduct by a social worker (Krenzke-Monack v. DOC) and the other involving sexual harassment by a security guard (Ashe v. DOC); two cases involving the Department of Social Service, one of which concerned racial discrimination in the hiring of the security director at Mendota Mental Health Institute (Paul v. Department of Health and Social Services) and the other concerning discrimination based on the Family and Medical Leave Act and fair employment retaliation (Sieger v. Department of Health and Social Services); one involving a steward of AFSCME Local 171 at the University Hospital who brought charges under provisions of the Whistleblower Law (Williams v. University of Wisconsin); and one involving the classification of an environmental engineer (Luloff v. Department of Employment Relations). Tape recordings for Butzlaff v. Department of Health and Social Services (1507A/250-279) and Warren v. Department of Health and Social Services (1507A/280-281) have been retained unappraised because paper records have not yet been received.
