Primarily mimeographed records of the Wisconsin component of a system of regional, state, and area committees created in 1967 under federal manpower legislation to develop plans to promote employment. The state committee included representatives from the Department of Public Instruction, the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations, the Department of Local Affairs and Development, the Department of Administration, the Board of Vocational and Technical Education, the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council, and the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Interior and Labor. The state committee coordinated area planning which analyzed employment problems and set funding priorities for attempts at addressing them. The records include minutes, guidelines, the 1971 plan, flow charts and organizational charts, issuances, and correspondence. English
