: Records include histories of the institution, organization charts, information on maintenance and management of the physical facilities, grant administration records, newsletters and correspondence of parent organizations, population movement records, superintendent's speeches, reports, staff records and other subject files. Population records include admission books detailing each patient's family background, physical description, and medical history; census reports of patients and staff; a record of admissions by date or county; and other records. Reports include activity reports to the Division of Mental Hygiene containing narrative and statistical data; studies and surveys of services by staff and others; and investigation reports. Staff records pertain to in-house workshops and employee procedure and orientation manuals. Other files concern work placement of patients and sterilization.
