Biography/History
The Medical Technology Program was approved by the UW Board of Regents in April 1962 and
established within the College of Letters & Science. In 1971 the program became part
of the college's Department of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and in 1973 the program was
transferred to the college's Department of Health Sciences. In 1975 the School of Allied
Health Professions was created and the Medical Technology Program, which continued to exist
as part of the Department of Health Sciences, came under the administrative structure of the
School.
