Scope and Content Note: Scattered planning materials, 1951-1984, for the State Historical Society of Wisconsin Museum building on the site of the former Wolff Kubly & Hirsig Building. Included are the design proposals for the Museum including correspondence and other material from Potter Design Group, the firm chosen for the project. Correspondence related to planning includes budget information, plans for moving exhibit material, construction schedule, and staff ideas for the new building. There is also program statement and exhibit planning material, and information on the history of the building. A few images of the Wolff Kubly & Hirsig Building, earlier buildings which occupied the site, and construction images accompany the collection.
