The collection contains a large number of images McIntyre has taken over his career
in the form of negatives and slides. Some of these also exist in digital form.
Publications in various magazines and books are also included, with original
editions of these publications. While there are publications that he has written in
physical form, there are drafts of his original writings in digital form. Notebooks
from his travels exist in the collection and are arranged by region. Films he
produced exist, mainly on 16mm prints. The exception is the IMAX film Amazon, which exists in an ISO file, encoded from a
DVD. There are several audiocassettes, which exist in the finding aid according to
their labels. Correspondence in physical form is incoming correspondence, whereas
the digital correspondence is all outgoing, as it was files saved from McIntyre's
computers over the years. Also included is McIntyre's collection of first edition
stamps.
