St. Croix-Pierce Bi-County Federation of Women's Clubs Records, 1922-1973

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains Bi-County Federation administrative and financial records, club histories and reports, and Ninth District records. In the folder entitled Constitution and Reports are the original constitution of the St. Croix County Federation of Women's Clubs, dated June 10, 1922, and reports of the county chairmen and treasurers, and minutes of annual conventions and meetings, 1922-1952. Records of the Bi-County Federation include correspondence; a registration book recording convention attendance; and copies of the annual reports of activities, which were sent to the district president. Two folders of the annual reports of local clubs to the bi-county president are also present. Other records include the president's papers, 1951-1971, containing notes, advice, and tips for incoming officers; financial records; and programs of the organization's annual Neighborhood Days (for homemakers) and County Club Institutes (training sessions for club officers); a folder on the operation of the Helen Mears Art Contests and essay contests; files of yearbooks revealing local club histories and activities; and correspondence, notes, and directories from the Ninth District Federation.
