Scope and Content Note: The slides depict historical sites and places of mention in Madison, Wisconsin from circa 1970s-circa 1980s. The first two folders contain two different slide shows, depicting Madison's history. Subsequent folders are titled by the slide identification numbers. The 1200s folder slides consist of aerial and wide angle views of downtown Madison (the Isthmus), and a photograph from Baird Law Office (all undated). The 1300s folder consists of exterior views of the state capitol, historic Madison houses (interior and exterior), including the Pierce, Bashford, Kendall, and Brown Houses, amongst other unidentified houses, and an image from Old Spring Tavern (1971-1973, and undated). The 1400s folder consists of historic Madison, including the Old Spring Tavern, the Parkway, S.S. Kresge Company, St. Raphael's church, Forest Hill, exterior images of Bascom Hall, and other assorted buildings (1970-1975, and undated). The 1500s folder consists of University of Wisconsin buildings, including South Hall, Bascom Hall, Red Gym, Camp Randall, and other campus locations (1880, 1972, and undated). The 4000s folder consists of images of Camp Randall and a map of Nolan's plan (images from 1975 April-June). After the numbered slide folders is a folder of miscellaneous photographs from Madison from 1970-1975 (some undated included). The last folder contains photographs unrelated to Madison's history, and depicts an excavation at a historical site outside of the United States.
