Organized in September 1948 under the auspices of the Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association, the Fox Valley Cooperative was to provide a livestock purchasing market in the Fox River Valley. Initially, six area cooperatives participated and others joined later. Buildings in the Ripon area were rented and purchased from the Equity association, and meetings were held in many towns throughout the area. In 1968 the Fox Valley Livestock Cooperative sold its land and buildings and ceased operations.
