Biography/History

The Oshkosh League of Women Voters was created in January 1942 as the League of Women Voters of Winnebago County. The present name was adopted in 1947. The League has conducted voter registration drives, supplied voter information, made studies on various issues concerning local government, and taken positions on matters of public policy. It is governed by an elected president and an executive board. The Oshkosh League is affiliated with the Wisconsin and National League of Women Voters.
