Terry L. Witkowski served as alderman of the 13th ward/district of the City of
Milwaukee from 2003 to 2019. He was elected to the Common Council in 2003 in a
special election and has lived in his district since 1955.
Witkowski received a bachelor's degree from Marquette University and a master's
degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He was a longtime safety
director of both the Milwaukee Safety Commission and the Milwaukee Police
Department. He also worked as a part-time police officer for 22 years.
Witkowski served as president of the South Side Business Club, the Survive Alive
House Foundation, and the South Side Civic Association, and served on the boards of
the National Safety Council, Businesses Against Drunk Drivers (BADD), and Citizens
Against Drug Impaired Drivers.
