Scope and Content Note

Printed constitutions and by-laws, dance programs, and decorated stationery collected by Wanda Kwasniewski and pertaining to the Dabrowka Society, founded as Group 265 by Mrs. Kwasniewski in 1911. The Milwaukee-based Dabrowka Society was affiliated with the Polish Women's Alliance of America (Zwiazek Polek w Ameryce). Included are constitutions, 1912 and 1920; dance programs, 1911 and 1912; two blanks for designating delegates to conventions; and several sheets of decorated stationery with printed poetry, one of which has foil embossing, and a decorated Christmas post card. The stationery may have been created for members of the Polish Women's Alliance, as some sheets bear the Alliance's handshake logo.
