George H. Klicka Papers, 1967-1982

Scope and Content Note

The George H. Klicka Papers are a relatively small collection of legislative papers. With the exception of a few scattered items, the majority of the documentation dates from the second half of Klicka's tenure in office. There are no personal files and no campaign material.

The collection is arranged as a single alphabetical GENERAL FILE consisting of correspondence, reference material, and lobbying material. The collection has been extensively weeded to remove secondary material available elsewhere, and as a result many of the individual files are quite slim. Also present here is a file of newsletters and questionnaires distributed by the assemblyman. Topics which are well documented include abortion, aid to private schools, sex education, and Wauwatosa.

The collection also includes one box of DISTRIBUTIONS, conservative reprints and publications, which Klicka distributed with his personal endorsement.
