: Papers, primarily 1970-1980, collected by Barbara Rock while working as a member of Milwaukee Parents Association of Children with Learning Disabilities and their project, Milwaukee Task Force on Children with Exceptional Education. The Task Force centered on achieving equal and accessible access for children with special education needs. The papers consist of the Task Force's annual reports, newsletters, workshop materials, news clippings, and Rock's correspondence with disability activists and politicians. Also included are Wisconsin Association of Children with Learning Disabilities notes and letters, 1976 Chapter Operations Manual, and Professional Advisory Board material, a photograph of Rock serving as a disability activist, Wisconsin statutes related to exceptional children, and Governor Lucey's 1976 proclamation of October Learning Disabilities Month in the State of Wisconsin.
