Listening to Mitchell (LTM) was started in summer 2014 by two artists, Sonja Thomsen
and Adam Carr. This public art project sought to capture the diversity of the
Mitchell Street area in Milwaukee. Photographs of ephemera from the community as
well as an audio component that played recordings of personal experiences of the
neighborhood were put on display for an immersive experience that the public was
invited to attend. There were 32 sites with 62 works of art on display along
Mitchell Street.
