McKiernan's discussion of the Mingo chief Logan, Michael Cresap, the Yellow Creek massacre, and Thomas Jefferson's treatment of Logan and Cresap in Notes on Virginia; and data on the Bradys and their associates in the Wheeling region during the Revolutionary era provided by Brady friends and descendants.
