: Mainly interview notes, 1863, taken in Ohio and Kentucky, with emphasis on the lives of Boone, Clark, Kenton, Benjamin Logan, Yelverton Peyton, Isaac Shelby, Tecumseh, Aquilla Whitaker, and William Whitley, and their participation in such battles as Point Pleasant (1774), Blue Licks (1782), Raisin River (1813) and the Thames (1813). Also found are a list of officers in Joseph Crockett's regiment in 1779, notes from the John Hardin family register, and a few periodical articles and newspaper clippings. Draper's detailed index preceding the notes contains entries for many other names of persons and events.
