Biography/History

Loyd Wright was a well known Los Angeles attorney who represented United Artists and who served as secretary of the board of trustees of the corporation. He was born in San Jacinto, served in World War I, and graduated from the University of Southern California Law School in 1915. Wright was also active in Republican politics serving as an active member of the Republican State Central Committee for many years. In 1937 he was president of the Los Angeles Bar Association, in 1940 he headed the State Bar, and in 1954 he was elected president of the American Bar Association. Wright died at age 81 on October 22, 1974.
