Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC) was founded circa 1940 as a production and distribution company. It was purchased on May 13, 1946 by Eagle-Lion, a Pathé Industries subsidiary. When Eagle-Lion subsequently became a United Artists subsidiary (see the introduction to Series 1G for details) the PRC records became the property of United Artists.
