Center for Limnology film collection

Biographical / Historical

A bulk of this collection is research carried out by or in collaboration with Arthur D. Hasler under the center for Limnology. The Center for Limnology (CFL) was established in July 1982 to coordinate, conduct and facilitate research, teaching and outreach on freshwater ecosystems at University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Center for Limnology was initiated by E.A Birge and Chancey Juday, but its roots were further developed by Arthur D. Hasler. Hasler was an associate professor of Zoology and was promoted to full professor in 1948, and served in that capacity until he retired in 1978.
