Robert P. Meyer was an American
geophysicist who worked as a professor of Geosciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
from 1957-1996. His research focused heavily on seismic studies and technological
developments. While in the faculty at UW, Meyer participated in and facilitated many
research projects with various institutions and professionals internationally. He was
especially interested in controlled-source seismology and conducted controlled blast
experiments. The Robert Meyer Papers (circa 1960s-1970s) contain various publications by
Meyer and other scientists, field notes, departmental and personal correspondence and
records, symposium and event materials, press releases and many other documents,
photographs, and negatives. English .
