This collection donated by Sue Goldwomon documents the history of the Madison-based lesbian-feminist event space Apple Island. Apple Island was founded in 1992 and was incorporated as a nonprofit in 1994. It was used by artists, musicians, entreprenuers, and other community members to hold events and classes. The materials include newsletters, fliers, lists of events, and grant applications from 1993-1996. The collection also includes a 1981 stock certificate from feminist cooperative restaurant and bar Lysistrata.
