Tom Kristensen was an accomplished Danish poet and author who lived from 1893 to 1974. He
studied at the University of Copenhagen and worked as a literary critic at the Politiken
newspaper from 1924 to 1963. Throughout this time, he also published a number of poems and
collections of poetry. However, his most known work was a novel called Haervaerk (Havoc),
which was published in 1930.
