The collection consists of two series: Personal and Journal Printing Company. The Personal series includes personal receipts, notes, finances, insurance, membership documents, and contracts of the Griswold family, including David Griswold's wife and mother. It also includes photographs of David Griswold, his wife, and his brother, although most are undated and unlabeled. Funerary receipts and medical bills can be found in this part of the collection. The Journal Printing Company series focuses only on the process of preparing and equipping a new building for the company, into which it moved in 1922. This includes letters from companies looking for prospective business, brochures, and correspondence between the Journal Printing Company and companies they contracted with in the setup of their new printing office.
