Biography/History

The Division of Fine Arts offers majors in Art, Dramatic Arts, and Music. The Division was created in 1976 following faculty Senate adoption of the recommendation of the Task Force on Academic Plan Reform (COP Report). Before that time the components of the Fine Arts Division (Art, Dramatic Arts, and Music) where they existed, were a part of the Division of Humanistic Studies in the College of Science and Society.
