Pat Faherty graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1983 with a medical
technology bachelor of science degree. She then obtained her computer science master of
science degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2004. While writing the diary,
Faherty was working for Advocate Aurora with the beaker lab system. This work involved
assisting with COVID-19 test records and creating hematology and fluid COVID-19 tests.
