the gain in motion in measured and graphed." An occupational therapist
measures the range of motion of a patient’s hand and records the
findings. She then measures the arm. Film shows wood-working. The
background seems to be in a building prior to the Curative building at
18th and Wells Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The next title card
reads: "Dislocation of right elbow and laceration of forearm muscles."
Film shows a woman working at a loom. The next title card reads: "Pott’s
fracture of ankle. Swelling and limitation of motions. Special pedals
make it possible to adapt the jigsaw for either flexor or extensor
treatments." Footage shows a man operating a bicycle-powered saw. The
film continues in this way, introducing patients (Dr. H., Mr. T, etc.),
and showing various injuries and their treatment at the Curative

occupational therapy crafts. The title card reads: "Bedside craft work
