A laboratory study of the absorption of light by lake waters, pp. -154 PDF (46.6 MB)
14 Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters all waters, and some cases are shown in Figs. 29-36. In some waters a 3-component analysis is possible, in which quantitative values are assigned to the action of water, of color, and of suspensoids. Figs. 37-54 contain factor curves which show the differing action of these factors in different parts of the spectrum, both in waters of single lakes of different colors, and in mean results derived from groups of lakes having the same color rating.
