([ca. 1990?])

Early churches

Evangelical Lutheran Congregation on the Wauwatosa Road,
north of Mequon Road of west Mequon, was known and nick-
named the "Kuernel Church". It was said the parishioners
after service stopped at Wagner's tavern, and the ladies
partook of a Kuemmel, a so-called ladies' drink, in the
store part, and the men had a drink of whiskey in the
tavern.
Evangelical Lutheran Church located on highway 57 near the
Milwaukee county line, another church.
Evangelical Lutheran Congregation on Mequon Road near
Oriole Lane, 1616 W. Iequon, Road, another church.
