                                    Washing Hair 
I.   Student states the materials needed in order to wash hair. 
     a.   shampoo 
     b.   creme rinse 
     c.   towel 
     d.   comb 
II. Student washes hair using the steps outlined below: 
     a.   places materials in convenient place 
     b.   opens bottles 
     c.   turns water on 
     d.   checks temperature with finger 
     e.   finds appropriate temperature 
     f.   wets hair thoroughly 
     g.   pours approximately 1-2 Tbsp. shampoo in hand 
     h.   lathers hair 
          1)    covers entire area 
          2)   works fingers down to scalp 
     i.   rinses hair thoroughly 
     j.   repeats #7 & #8 if necessary 
     k.   applies creme rinse if applicable 
     1.   rinses thoroughly 
     m.   dries hair with towel 
     n.   dries hair with blower if desired
