Frey-Doering, Kathy; Zanella Albright, Kathy A. / How to teach: chronological age-appropriate activities for school aged moderately and severely handicapped students
Hygiene/grooming, pp. -
This is a photo of a bulletin board. As one can see, the content deals with Brushing Teeth. Actual items are used whenever possible. A written sequence (paper located in center of board) is for the students who are readers. Materials: actual items pictures DLMI sequence (or you could use your own photo sequence) The numbers under the DLM picture sequence helped the physically handicapped students identify certain actions. For example, "Which picture shows the girl putting toothpaste on her brush?" "Number 2." This board can often be changed to a new activity (e.g., washing hands, combing/brushing hair, putting on deodorant...).
