[From Andrew Lee] John Englands camp 18 november 94 Dear parents! Just last week I received your letter and see to my joy that nearly everyone is living and you have your health. The same.... Winter is already here in full force - taking turns with snow and cold. As it is not very long since I wrote to Jacob, I have almost nothing to write about now. I have had letters from Eau Claire. Everything is the same as usual down there. Elling apparently is not going to the woods this winter. Karl works not so far from where I am, only 6-7 miles. When you write you must tell me a little more about Andreas Snausen, if it is true that he was murdered and how it was. Herewith a friendly greeting to you all.
