father and mother (Mr. Hunt) talk of coming in Sept. and there are quite
a number of other whom we knew scatttered around us.
 Tehre has been quite a revival of religion in this place this winter, not
any excitement if has seemed like the spirit of God working upon the hearts
of men, Smead is one of the converts, he was rather inclining to be a skeptic,
but such thoughts have now all vanished and we are trying to live a Christian
life, as for myself I have indulged a hoe rather over a year, but have never
made any public profession untill now, we have joined the Methodist Class,
and were two weeks ago both baptized by immersion, four others were baptized
with us, we feel quite anxious and interested to know your views and feelings
in regard to a future state.  The salvation of the soul is the ____ of our
existance, the very purpose for which we were made, dear brother do you think
of these things is your bible daily read, and studied that you may know what
id your duty
