BACKING LUMBER
Also surtable for Die Lumber used by PAPER BOX, CARTON, and ENVELOPE MANUFACTURERS.
Glued-Up Birch Backing Lumber
The Ilustration at the left shows a piece of Glued-Up Birch Backing
Lumber. Standard boxes contain 100 square feet, consisting of 50 pieces
12 inches wide and 24 inches long. Joints have tongue and groove and
are  firmly  glued.
PRICES: BASED ON BOXES CONTAINING 100 SQUARE FEET
25/32 Birch, 12 wide, 24'l ong, 201/2 cents per sq. foot.
7/8'  Birch,  12  wide, 24' long, 21  cents  per sq. foot.
- - I' Wide-                        Add one cent per square foot for planing to gauge. Specify exact thick-
ness in thousandths. After deducting thickness of plate, deduct an addi-
tonal two thousandths from actual thickness required (to make 91B thousandths or type high) to compensate for varia-
tion in thickness of metal and wood. If convenient, sendsample of plate to be mounted.
Add one cent ner square foot for lengths between 24 and 36 inches.
Add one cent per square foot on orders for less than 100 square feet.
Prices for sizes other than specified quoted upon request.

Glued-Up Cherry Backing Lumber
The illustration at the left shows a piece of Glued-Up Cherry Backing
Lumber. Standard boxes contain 100 square feet, in 12 inch widths vary-
ing in length from I2 to 24 inches, in percentages specified. Joints have
tongue and groove and are firmly glued.
PRICES: BASED ON     BOXES CONTAINING        100 SQUARE FEET

Laminated Birch Backing
This is the highest grade of Backing obtainable.
The illustration at the left shows a piece of Laminated Birch Backing.
Standard boxes contain 102 square feet, consisting of 17 pieces 24 inches
wide and 36 inches long. However, prices are based upon a minimum
of 54 square feet of Backing.
Add one cent per square foot for smaller quantities.

Above prices cover Laminated Backing, smooth planed to thicknesses specified. Smooth planed Laminated BaJ'ng
764 or 766 thousandths of an inch thick for II point plates, is billed at 3/4 inch price. Smooth planed Laminated
Backing, 852 or 853 thousandths of an inch thick for 16 gauge copper or zinc plates, is billed at 7/g inch price. Other
sizes and thicknesses made on order. Prices quoted upon request.
