12 High ________ York, January 2nd 1859 My dear M__ Dinsdale This is the first letter I have dated '59. So I will commence by wishing you my very dear Friend a Happy New Year! I am truly glad that the past year has been to you a year of restoration to health and strength, though at its commencement it was _______ expected that you would see many of its weeks, or perhaps I should say days, may this year be one to you of prosperity __________________ and vigor, ____ increased devotedness to God; for that I doubt not will be the use _____ will ______ force your recent affliction, even as g____ expected in you letter. ___ that letter accept my silence thanks; it gave me great pleasure to receive a few lines in your own hand writing, and to find that among it the _______ with greater claim on your time _____ attention
