     These are days when lkeeping our homes cheorful and our equipment in

ordor are particularly timely in view of the war. So the County Agricultural
Comnitteo has approvod this program which was roquostod by homemakers' repre-
sentativos last spring:
  CLEANING AND ADJUSTING THE SEWING MACHIN1 -- in January
  CONSUMER INFORMATION (prices, shortages, substitutes; buying, saving, otc.)
                                            -- in March
  HOUSECLEANING HELPS (paint and varnish finishes, wallpaper, metals, uphol-
     story and other furnishings; methods; rocipes for cloanors) -- in February
 BRAIDED RUGS (using discarded cloth, and nooding no special equipment;
     including planning of colors and pattern) - in October and November
     This program was ,arrangod with the help of the University of Wisconsin
Home 3cononics Extonsion spocialists. Now wo need your help to fit this work
to the needs and wants of our Dane county women, The Honomakers' Executive
Committeo theroforo invitos your neighborhood (oi club) to sond ropresentatives
(president and socrotary, if yours is a club) to make plans with us. At these
short meetings you will help decide where and when loader training centors
will
be hold, and other important matters. Your representatives will want to cone
