* LIEUTENANT COMMANDER T. H. JONES
U.S. N. R.
Lieutenant Commander T. H. Jones, U.S.N.R., is a veteran of World
War 1. He entered the United States Naval Reserve in 1917, served
as Head of the Department and Instructor in Navy Regulations at the
Naval Officers school, Pelham Bay, N. Y., and later, in the Cruiser
and Transport Force and the Naval Overseas Transport Service.
From 1920 to 1929 he commanded the 3rd Battalion of the U. S. Naval
Reserve and also organized and enlisted the first group of Minneapolis
Naval Reserve Cadets for aviation training. He retired with the rank
of Lieutenant Commander. He wears the Victory medal together with
the Naval Reserve medal with Star.
In 1941, while on the staff of the J. G. White Engineering Co., New
York, constructors of the Navy Gun Plant at Louisville, Ky., he was
recalled to active duty and assigned to Naval Officer Procurement.
He is now Senior Patrol Officer, Navy Shore Patrol, Milwaukee Area.
