Second Meeting
Minutes of second telephone meeting held at Jacobson schoolhouse,
March 10, 1902.
Rev. 0. E. Schmidt was elected chairman of the meeting and J. E.
Jacobson, secretary.
The several committees appointed at last meeting read their reports
to the meeting and favorably accepted.
It was moved and seconded that we this evening form a permanent
organization which shall be known as the Wind Lake Telephone
Company.
It was moved and seconded that we proceed to elect officers.
There were nine votes cast for President of which number Rev. 0. E.
Schmidt received eight and Albert Anderson one.
Dr. Charles Flett was duly elected Vice President.
J. 0. Jacobson was elected Secretary of the company.
Hans Finholth was elected Treasurer.
It was moved and seconded that a committee on rules and bylaws be
appointed. The following named gentlemen duly elected, Rev. 0. E.
Schmidt, Albert Anderson, and B. J. Bendickson.
It was decided to accept Mr. August Heimkir's bid at 20 cents per
pole. Said poles to measure no less than four inches in diameter
in the top end. Resolve that a committee of three appointed to be
known as the construction committee whose duty it should be to see
that the poles are cut and delivered and properly constructed also
the other necessary materials.    Said committee consisted of Mr.
Julius Christianson, Severt Thompson and J. E. Jacobson.
It was moved and seconded that a man be allowed $1.50 per day for
labor and $2.50 for man team and wagon.
It was moved and seconded that the committee on rules and bylaws
also take charge of purchasing instruments, wire and etc.
Moved and seconded to adjourn.
