ORGANISTS Of the early-day organists who played the reed organ, Carrie Thrall and her sister Lula are the ones remembered best. Who first played the piano bought in 1914 is lost to memory, but as a young girl in the 1950's, Loretta Bohn was one of the faithful musicians at the piano and later at the new Hammond spinet organ in 1952. Later Ruth Westover was organists, assisted by several young recruits, among them Joan Knapwurst and Cheri and Adair Harrison. In the 1970's Mrs. Dorothy Kafer of Eureka assisted on alternate Sundays. Mrs. Sherry Carlson was the first to play the new piano purchased about 1978. Sherry at the piano with Mrs. Marie Stone at the organ cooperated to fill the church with music on some Sundays. The present organist at the new Baldwin electric organ purchased in 1985 is Mrs. Stone. When she is absent, Miss Michelle Paulson is organist. _________________ When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy. Job 38:7
