(2 TENTii ANNUAL CONVENTION As each scholar's name was called, his standing or g-ra(le in his class was given. The nine money prizes ranged from $4 to $10, there being one first; two second; two third; and four fourth prizes. These were given for article written by the students on the subject, *The haiidling of milk in making dairy products." GUESTS IN ATTENDANCE. Among the visitors to the closing exercises of the school were Dr. Burri, director of the Dairy Experiment Station at Liebefelt near Bern, where the late Dr. Freudenrich made his celebrated investigations concerning the ripen- ing of Swiss cheese; Dr. N. Gerber of Zuerich, who inven- ted the milk test that is extensively used in Europe, and who has attended the annual exercises of this school since its foundation, was also present, and a few teachers from the Agricultural School that is within - one-fourth mile of the Dairy School.
