OUTAGAMIR COUNTY PIONEER RECORD. CHARLES A. STEVENS Born in Jefferson county, N. Y., 1823; came to Appleton in 1853. Served in the war of the Rebellion two years, as lieutenant. MRS. MINNIE SAECKER. Was born in Outagamie county in 1855, and was married to F. E. Saecker December 18, 1877. Their daughter, Edna E., was born in Appleton in 1881. JOHN SCHLOSSER Was born in Germany, March 12, 1848; came to Appleton in 1868. Dealer in wood and coal. AUGUSTUS LEDYARD SMITH Born in Middletown, Connecticut, April 5, 1833; married October 30, 1860, to Edna Jewett Taylor, who was born in Providence, R. I., April 14, 1833. Children, Augustus, born May 20, 1862; Franklin Taylor, born July 14, 1864. Residence, on Alton street. Lawyer. Came here in 1856. J. E. H. STIMSON Born in Saint George, Canada, and was married in 1880 to Rebecca Cuff, who was born Dec. 14, 1857. Children, G. R., born Sept. 24, 1881; James A., born May 7, 1883; J. B., born Jan. 8, 1885; Bessie M., born Dec. 18, 1886; Irene R., born Nov. 15, 1888; Helen V., born December 24, 1890; Paul R., born Jan. 23, 1893; F. G., born June 27, 1895; Donald, born October 27, 1897. Photographer. JOHN B. SANBORN Born in 1837; came to Appleton in 1855 and was married to Nancy Rinehart, who was born in 1848. Children, Millie, born in 1876, and George, born in 1882. Mr. San- born now lives in Hortonville. 96
