STREET DIRECTORY. The Street Directory shows, as near as practical, the locatioal of the various streets of the city. The numbers on those streets ex- tending from lake to lake, commence at lake Monona. The streets extending fiom northeast to southwest are numbered from Wiscon- sin Avenue each way. excepting Main and Wilson, the numbers of which count from the railroad. Baldwin crosses Washington ave, twelfth northeast of Pinckney. Bassett crosses Washington ave, fourth southwest of Carroll. Bedford crosses Washington ave, fifth southwest of Carroll. Blair crosses Washington ave, fifth northeast of Pinckney. Blount crosses Washington ave, sixth northeast of Pinckney, Brearly crosses Washington ave, ninth northb'ast of Pinckney. Brooks extends from University ave, south through Greenbush Addition, first west of Park. Broom crosses Washington ave, third southwest of Carroll. Bruen extends from University ave, south, fourth West of Park. Butler extends from Lake Monona northwest to Lake Mendota, crossing Washington ave, second northeast of Pinckney. Carroll extends from Lake Monona northwest to Lake Mendota, passing the southwest side of the Capitol park. Chandler lies second south of Milton. Charter extends from University ave, south, third west of park. Clymer extends from the railroad northeast to Henry, and from the corner of Fairchild and Hamilton northeast to the corner of King and Webster, also from Blair northeast, crossing Wiscon- sin first southeast of Main. Dayton extends from Warren east and northeast to Henry, and from the cor of Fairchild and State northeast to the corner of Webster and Hamilton, also from Blair northeast, crossing Wisconsin ave first northwest of Mifflin.
