Kadi , on, is. Decomber 9, 1912. -"io da !,. Jaiaes, j1ichliand Center, Iiscons in. d ear 1 so James: - I ami in receipt of two copies of a rough fraft of letter to be sent to 2hairman, but none of the pro-osed- programs. I suppose the extra copy of the one was sent by mis- take in place of the other. I have rone over your draft of letter to be sent to Chairman, and ! find that It agrees only in part with my idea of vwhat the call shorld be. In your first rartgraph you say: A confe-'Oioe was held in i1sdison, December 4th". This is, of course true in -fart--we di3 hold a conference, but iany people might object to the fact that they were not invited to these deliberations. I thin", therefore, that it mi'ht be well to omit this item. In your second paragraph, you say: "Officers will be elected and the method of conducting future, campaigns, freely discussed." This might give those who receive it the idea that something'4w was to be started in the State, whereas, I believe we want a union of all the old organizations, together with a lot of new members. I like you last paragraph very much indeed., but I think we should state the purpose of the meeting very much more definitely so that those who receive the call will not think that it is to be simply a rally and something vew started.
