[Commission of the Freemen of the state of Vermont to Henry Eggleston: June 29, 1839]
Eggleston do solemnly swear that I will be true and faithful to the State I will not directly or indirectly do any act or thing injurious to the Constitution or as established by Convention: so help me God. H. S. Eggleston I will support the Constitutions of the United STates: so hel me God. H. S. Eggleson H Adams then personally appeared the aboved named Hentry A. D. 1839 S and took and subscribed the above John Mason Brig Genl Head quarters L Adams and issued this 5 day of August A. D. 1839 John Mason Brig Gen Quarters 1st Brigade 2nd division Feby 28, 1840 in due application of H. S. Eggleson ___ regiment he is humbly honorably discharged military command and military duty. John Mason Brig. General Commission, To Capt. H. S. Eggleston, 11th Regiment Adjutant and inspector General's office. Entered on record and issued this 31st day of July A. D. 1839 F. M.
