Paul Seeger Family
Paul was the son of Carl and Emilie who immigrated from
Germany in 1881. Paul was married to Marie Amelung in 1906.
They purchased their farm in 1908 in Section 1, Town of
Frankfort.
They had five boys Arthur, Ervin, Alfred, Herb and Ken-
neth and three girls Viola, Esther and Marie. All of the
daughters live in California. Arthur, Ervin and Alfred lived in
California. Alfred died in 1966. Kenneth lives in the state of
Oregon and Herbert purchased the home farm in 1948 from his
parents.
Family of Thomas
and Hedwig (Smolke) Sellung
Thomas Sellung was born December 15,1843 in Schleissig,
Germany. He died September 16, 1922. Hedwig Smolke was
born April 15, 1846 in Schleissig, Germany. She died June 13,
1923. Thomas and Hedwig married in Germany in 1869 and
came to the US in 1874.
Their children: Veronica married Wenzel Sazama, John
married Barbara Pankratz, Frank married Ida Kroeplin, Jo-
seph married Bessie Dvorak, Anna married Nick Stockhausen,
Augusta married Joseph Schilling.
Frank homesteaded in Canada for eight years as a young
man and also ranched in Montana nineteen years. Three
daughters were born in Canada. He later moved to Milwaukee.
Frank was a few weeks old when his mother got off the train in
Colby and walked to the farm on 97 carrying him in her arms.
Veronica and John were four and five years old and hung onto
their mother's apron strings. The year was 1877 and the farm
is now owned by Kenneth Dahlke.
The Stack Family
Jerome and Mary Stack have three children - lbdd, Jason
and Chad. They are dairy farmers and have lived their lifetime
in the township.
Jerome's parents Anthony and Cherubim lived in Frankfort
township from 1928-1970. They came to America around 1890
from Switzerland and Poland. Both families settled in St. Paul.
Anthony and Cherubim met there, married and moved to
Frankfort.
Richard and Lynn Stibbe
Richard and Lynn have five children: Jesse Stibbe, Justin,
Sean, Robert and Ryan Graff.
Richard is employed at Anderson Saw Mill and Lynn works
at Designer Advertising. Justin is employed at Land O'Lakes,
Sean at Northwest Hardwoods, Robert at Frankfort Cheese and
Ryan at Meyers Lumber Company.
The Syring Family
Larry and Illa Syring have two children, Joe and Sara.
They have been lifetime residents of the Town of Frankfort.
Larry is employed by the Marathon County Highway
Department and Illa is employed by St. Joseph's Hospital.
Larry's father Albert Syring was a lifetime resident of
Frankfort.
Delmar and Audrey Telschow
Delmar and Audrey have three children: Dennis, Dawn
Mortvedt, and Denise Stone.
Delmar served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He is
self-employed and is a 40-year resident of the town and his wife
(Audrey Ballerstein) is a lifetime resident.
The Dennis Telschow Family
Dennis and Delores Iblschow are the parents of two sons
David and Mark. They have been residents of the Township for
thirty-nine years and are the owners of Frankfort Cheese.
Dennis served in the National Guard from 1969-1977.
Albert Totzke Family
Albert and Agnes Totzke's children are John, Carl, Aaron,
Jane, Kaye and Kristine. Albert is a farmer and has lived in the
township since 1915 and Agnes since 1920. Agnes was a teacher
before her marriage. Albert's great grandparents came to
America from Germany in 1894.
Kristine was a teacher for four years and now is studying to
be a pastor. She will intern in California and then back to
Luther Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul. Aaron received his
Master's degree in Guidance Counseling.
Carl Totzke Family
Carl and Jean Ttzke have lived in the Twn since 1943.
Their children are Jeff, Jeremy, C. Anthony and Cathy.
Carl served in the U.S. Army from 1961-64. He is a dairy
farmer. His parents were born in the Town of Frankfort.
Paternal grandmother, Emma Hoernke, born here. Paternal
grandfather Ferdinand born in Northern Germany. Maternal
grandfather Anton Hartl born in Southern Germany. Maternal
grandmother Regina Hartl (Yessa).
Ferdinand Totzke
Ferdinand Totzke born July 17,1880 in Germany. He came
to the US at age 15 and farmed in Frankfort and was a trucker
until 1941. He retired in Edgar. He married Emma Hoernke on
June 1, 1905 in Frankfort. Emma was born March 11, 1885,
daughter of Carl Hoernke.
They had nine children, four sons and five daughters. Two
children are deceased, Carl was killed in 1928 in an auto
accident. Hertha married to Win. Lau. One daugher, Myrna,
unmarried works for Employers Insurance in New York.
Herman Totzke retired, living in Schofield, farmed prior in
Town of Frankfort. He married Dorothy Olson Fitzel. One
daughter, Susan, nurse in South Carolina. Two stepdaughters,
Diane Hoff, Rockford, IL and Mary Jane Pupp, Stratford.
Emma Brown marriedWalter who was a farmer and car-
penter. They had two children Ronald and Miriam Wolff.
Elsie Raddatz - Gordon, a farmer in Oshkosh.
Two children: Wesley (wife Ann) farmer in Oshkosh. One
daughter Lindsay Ann. Grace Barter (husband Tom) both work-
ing on a farm in Aplington, Iowa.
Wolga Tigert - Arthur - farmer in Oshkosh.
Four daughters: Barbara Turner (David). Real Estate
Broker in Sacramento, CA. Rhoda Hoeft (Robert) live in Ger-
mantown, WI. She is a nurse and they have one son, Brian.
