A group of interested children and adults met at the Frankfort Town Hall to organize a 4-H club, Mr. and Mrs. Loddie Loskot were chosen to be the general leaders. Miss Joan Gruber the county 4-H home economist was present to explain the 4-H club organization and work projects. The following were chosen as project leaders. Mrs. Vernon Leffel, Knitting, Robert Ballerstein, woodworking, clothing, Mrs. Merlin Kilty, Foods and Nutrition, Mrs. Albert Wolff, Wildlife, Ronald Brown, Gardening, Mrs. Loddie Loskot, Dairying, Albert Wolff, photography, Loddie Loskot, explor- ing, Mrs. Gary Nienow, flowers, Mrs. Ronald Brown, mechanics Carl Totzke. Officers elected were Douglas Brown, president Patrick Kilty, vice president Mary Wolff, secretary and Larry Brown treasurer. The name of the new club was voted on to be called the Frankfort Friends 4-H Club.
