New York D_y __ House March 13th 1854
Mr Dinsdale  Dear Sir
 I send you a few lines
to let you know how we are and how getting along
am happy to inform you that we are in good health, and
hope this will find you + yours + my family all enjoying
the same blessing. We (me + _______) have finished ______
our _________ Silk goods and we hope to get through here
this week + I expect we shall go to Pittsburgh from here
and buy glass + nails  We have been puzzled rather
how to send our goods along we concluded it would
be as cheap to send them all the way by __________ as
to send them to Pittsburgh + down the Ohio___ we have
shippd the heaviest of our dry goods to go through on the
Canada line but are rather afraid that they may be detained
at Niagara Falls as all the goods have to be carted across
the wire suspension bridge there. the other portion are sent
by the New York + Erie on the south shore line + Michigan Southern
Rail Road I think this portion will arrive in good ti___
they are sent to care ______________________ Our bills ______
Silk goods are sent by express__ I have not receiv____
any letter from you yet. My respects to Robert + your
family + accept the same from ours
