Dorothy enjoys good health, and is quite cheerful and
content. I expect to see Ann very soon,=within
two weeks. I have not heard from her lately.
A few weeks ago I was at Hazel Green, all were well.
George and Eden were intending to remain there I was
at Richland the whole of one night, and you may be
sure there was not much sleep for any of us. He is well
_____ well, and must be doing well, he is much pleased
with Wisconsin and thinks his prospects good. ________
I never saw Alice look better. Every time I see them
We have a talk about her Mother. Tell _______ we often
think about her, and that we want for nothing that is good
for us. She may be quite at ease about Alice as she has
enough ____ to spare. I brought Mary Middleton to Janes
on my return, she was with them about a week.
How are __________ remember me to them. I am
sorry to hear of Elda___ accident, but hope by this
time he is better, give my respects to him.
We have had a dry summer, but on the whole a pleasant
one. THe farmers say the potatoes are a small yield
but I do not hear that they are aflicted with the rot.
WHeat was harvested well. The best flour sells fore two dollars
a hundred lbs. Oats 15 ot 20 cents a bushel, potatoes 37 1/2 to 40. Onions
.50 cents. Beef 3 to .5 cents a the Ham 10 to 12 1/2 cents a lb. Pork/pickled
